Owner Occupied Repair Application
The Franklin County Land Bank, in partnership with New York State Homes and Community Renewal, is now accepting applications for its Owner Occupied Repair Grant – critical repair funding of up to $10,000 for income-eligible homeowners across Franklin County. This 2026 edition of the program is open to owner-occupants whose household income falls below 120% of the Area Median Income, and it’s designed to help families keep their homes safe, sound, and livable for years to come. If you own and live in your home and have needed repairs you’ve been putting off, you’re invited to apply.
Grant funds can go toward health and safety improvements, accessibility modifications, code violations, environmental remediation, and other repairs necessary to extend the useful life of your home. Applications are due Friday, August 7, 2026 at 5:00 PM, so don’t miss out – this is a limited opportunity to invest in your home at little or no cost to you. You can complete your application online, below. If you’d prefer to apply on paper, you can download the FCLB Owner Occupied Repair Grant Application Form (pdf), fill it out, and return it to the Franklin County Land Bank by mail or email. You will also need to complete the FCLB Asset Verification Form (pdf), one for each financial institution where you hold an account. Print a copy for every bank or credit union you use, sign the release section, and give it to an authorized representative at that institution. The form must be completed and signed by an official of the financial institution, and emailed directly back to us from that institution at the address shown on the form. Forms returned by anyone other than the financial institution cannot be accepted.
